Terms of Service
Effective June 3, 2026Who this applies to
These terms govern your use of E-slop. By connecting an email account, you agree to them. "E-slop" refers to the service operated by the individual behind admin@e-slop.com.
What the service does
E-slop connects to your Gmail or Outlook inbox via OAuth. When new mail arrives, we score it for AI-generated content. Emails that score above your chosen threshold get labeled and moved to an E-slop folder in your account. You receive a daily digest listing what was moved.
By connecting your account, you authorize E-slop to take these actions on your behalf. We take no other actions on your account.
Whitelist
Any sender address or domain you add to your whitelist is never filtered, regardless of score. You can update the whitelist at any time by emailing admin@e-slop.com with your connected address and the entries to add or remove.
Billing
The first 30 filtered emails per calendar month are free. No payment method is required until you reach that threshold.
When your 31st email is filtered in a calendar month, E-slop prompts you to add a payment method. If you add one, that session's charge covers all 31 filtered emails at $0.01 each ($0.31). Every filtered email after that, within the same month, is charged at $0.01. Charges are invoiced at end of month via Stripe.
A $0.50 monthly minimum applies to any month in which a charge is incurred, to cover Stripe's transaction fees on small invoices.
If you don't add a payment method after reaching the free limit, filtering stops until the next calendar month begins.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect your email account at any time by emailing admin@e-slop.com. Disconnecting stops all processing immediately. Your OAuth tokens are deleted from our systems. Any outstanding charges for the current billing period remain due.
Service availability
E-slop processes emails in near real-time, targeting sub-3-second latency. We make no guarantee of specific uptime or latency. Email delivery from Gmail and Outlook's Pub/Sub infrastructure is outside our control, and brief processing delays or gaps may occur.
If our service is unavailable, emails stay in your inbox untouched. We don't retroactively process emails that arrived during downtime.
Acceptable use
You may use E-slop for personal or professional email accounts you own or are authorized to manage. You may not connect accounts you don't have authority over, or use E-slop in any way that violates your email provider's terms of service or applicable law.
No warranty
E-slop is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. The detection engine will miss some AI-written emails and may occasionally flag human-written ones. No classifier is perfect. We don't guarantee that any specific email will or won't be filtered.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, E-slop's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service will not exceed the amount you paid in the 30 days before the claim arose.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any loss resulting from a missed or incorrectly filtered email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the State of Maine.
Changes to these terms
Material changes will be communicated via the daily digest email at least 14 days before taking effect, and posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of E-slop after that effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
